CLINICAL DIRECTOR — BCBA (Ground-Floor Opportunity)
Eastside Seattle / SE King County Corridor, WA
Full-Time | $105,000–$125,000 DOE | Benefits + Performance Incentives
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We are a well-funded ownership team in the early stages of launching a new, independently owned ABA clinic in the Eastside Seattle / SE King County corridor — a geography with significant unmet demand, a documented 100+ family waitlist at nearby clinics, and no center-based ABA competition across a 15-mile radius of our target area.
This is not a position within an established corporate organization. This is a rare opportunity to join as a founding clinical leader, shape the clinic from the ground up, and grow with it. We are seeking a BCBA who is not only clinically excellent but entrepreneurially minded — someone who wants a seat at the table in building something meaningful, not just executing within a system that is already built.
OUR UNFAIR ADVANTAGE
Our ownership team brings together three things that are rarely found in a new ABA clinic:
— 25+ years of executive business and people leadership at a leading global technology company, with deep expertise in scaling complex operations, managing large teams, and building systems that grow.
— An active healthcare practice ownership in the local Bellevue market — giving us firsthand experience in provider credentialing, insurance billing, clinical compliance, and building patient referral relationships in this exact geography.
— Expertise in healthcare staffing and recruiting — the #1 operational bottleneck in ABA. We understand the RBT pipeline problem and have the infrastructure and networks to solve it.
We bring the operational capital, the business systems, and the clinical referral network. We are looking for the right clinical visionary to lead the therapy side.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
As Clinical Director, you will be the clinical foundation of the organization. In the early phase, this role is broad and foundational:
— Lead the design of clinical programs, treatment protocols, and assessment frameworks
— Conduct initial client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, PEAK)
— Supervise, mentor, and evaluate RBTs and CBTs as the team grows
— Partner directly with ownership on clinical hiring, onboarding, and staff development
— Serve as the primary liaison with families, pediatricians, and community referral sources
— Advise on insurance credentialing strategy, payer relationships, and documentation standards
— Contribute input on clinic space design, therapy room configuration, and equipment selection
— Help define the culture, values, and clinical identity of the clinic from day one
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Required:
— Active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB
— Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Washington State, or active eligibility to obtain licensure
— Minimum 3 years of post-certification clinical experience, including at least 1 year supervising RBTs
— Experience with center-based and/or in-home ABA delivery
— Working knowledge of Washington State insurance-based ABA practice (Premera, Regence, UHC, Aetna)
— Strong family relationship and communication skills
Strongly preferred:
— Prior experience in a clinical leadership, supervisory, or director-level role
— Experience in a startup, independently owned, or small clinic environment
— Familiarity with CentralReach or equivalent ABA practice management software
— Comfort with ambiguity and genuine enthusiasm for building systems from scratch
— Existing referral relationships with pediatric providers on the Eastside

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Base salary: $105,000–$125,000 depending on experience
Benefits include: medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off and paid holidays; CEU reimbursement and professional development support; supervision hours for staff pursuing BCBA certification; and performance incentives tied to clinic growth milestones.

A NOTE ON LOCATION AND TIMING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We are in the final stages of selecting our clinic location within the Sammamish / Issaquah / Snoqualmie corridor. We are intentionally reaching out to candidates now — before the location is finalized — because we want the right Clinical Director involved in launch planning from the earliest possible stage. If you have informed views on where the greatest unmet ABA need exists in this geography, we want to hear them.
Target launch: Q3–Q4 2026. We envision this role beginning as a flexible part-time consulting engagement during the pre-launch build-out and credentialing phase — allowing the right candidate to remain in their current position — transitioning to a full-time salaried role as we approach our opening date.
