Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Olympic ABA is a home and community-based ABA Therapy service located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in rural Washington state that serves clients in Jefferson and Clallam Counties. We provide joyful learning to create lasting positive change in the lives of children birth to 18 years old with autism spectrum disorder and their families.  Olympic ABA has been operating since 2016. The business is owned by a BCBA who has more than 30 years’ experience working with children and families as a teacher, educator, and trainer.

Our philosophy is based on compassionate care. We incorporate the strategies of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for ABA, Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Training, and principles of assent ABA. We have particular expertise in children with the most challenging behavior.

This is a perfect opportunity for an independent person who likes autonomy.  Direct service and supervision of RBT’s occurs in families’ homes and in community locations. Weekly communication with your supervisor might be in person, via zoom, on the phone, or via email. Prep work is typically done in your home location. We provide tools such as printers and iPads as needed. Olympic ABA prides itself on teamwork and collegial relationships.

For the interested candidate, this position has opportunity for growth. These opportunities could include such things as becoming a lead BCBA, taking on administrative responsibilities, or developing community collaborations. This job can also provide an exciting opportunity to do collaborative work to expand ABA services in this underserved region.

What you would do:

  • Develop, manage, and monitor evaluation and treatment plans for children and teens in compliance with insurance company requirements
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and develop Positive Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Develop and implement parent training and support programs 
  • Provide support, supervision, and mentorship for RBTs
  • Assist with RBT recruitment and training
  • Collaborate with program director and other Olympic ABA staff

What you need:

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Special Ed, Psychology, or related field
  • Valid BCBA Certification and Washington licensure
  • Minimum 1 year experience, preferably with RBT supervisory experience
  • Experience with children and teens with autism spectrum disorder preferred
  • Reliable transportation: This position requires travel to families’ homes throughout the 2-county area.

Salary $70,000- 90,000/year depending on experience

Full time - average 26 hours (65% of time) direct in person service per week

Typically, Monday to Friday but can be flexible
